Figures

A series of works in oil pastel on paper, of people both moving and stationary in outside and inside spaces, observed in buildings, landscapes, cafes, gardens, galleries and streets. Shapes placed around them (or absence thereof) indicates the enigma of separation and/or brief inconclusive intersections. Intimation of solitary impermanence pervades. Many will recognise the Solid from Durer's Melencolia I.
